Pam is the third daughter of Nancy Burarrwaŋa and Mowarra Ganambarr. Pam has a solid education in both cultures.
She has been a Supervisor at the ALPA Store at Galiwinku on Elcho Island and more recently is working at the Miwatj Health Clinic at Galiwin’ku.
Pam has successfully completed Certificate 2 in Retail Operations and Certificates 3 & 4 in Retail Supervision.
She is a confident modern working woman who is also committed to improving and sharing her strong traditional knowledge. Pam was married to Joe Gumbula (deceased) who received an Honorary Doctorate in Music from Sydney University and who was a Research Fellow at Sydney University. Pam’s great love is her seven grandchildren from her three children. Pam is a skilled weaver.
